There is just something about Hawaii that keeps drawing me back every year! In Hawaii, life is lived in a different way… the Hawaiian Way. The Hawaiian Way means there's always room for one or two or ten more. The Hawaiian Way is to respect the land. To respect the sea. To respect each other.
As soon as you land in Hawaii, you will feel the Hawaiian Way bring a sense of calm and relaxation over you…just what you need during a vacation!
WHERE TO STAY? Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and the island of Hawaii are the 6 of 9 islands to visit. Each has its own distinct personality, adventures, activities and sights.
I’ve been traveling to Hawaii about once a year. Most recently, I’ve spent time in Maui, The Big Island, Lanai and Oahu. For this article, I am going to highlight Maui. There is just so much to see and do in all of the islands, therefore, it’s best to reach out to me for information regarding the island you are mostly interested in and I will gladly speak to you about my first hand personal experiences.

MY FAVORITE DAY IN MAUI:
The HIGHLIGHT of my time in Maui was a day “getting lost” with my family! We rented a Jeep, took the top town and explored Upcountry! Below are the areas we included in our day trip itinerary. You will notice we ate a lot on this day trip!
Kula Lodge: A MUST for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner! We started our day having breakfast at Kula Lodge. The Pancakes with Macadamia Nuts, Bananas and Coconut Syrup was worth the calories!
Surfing Goat Dairy Farm: Located on the beautiful slopes of Maui's Haleakala Crater. Award Winning Goat Cheeses!
Ali’I Kula Lavender Farm: I enjoyed blissfully walking the gardens of the Lavender Farm. So peaceful and tranquil. Lavender Tea and a lavender scone was a nice snack after walking the grounds. We purchased Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner for our puppy.
Maui Wine: Since we were driving, my husband and I “shared” a tasting. My husband is a member of various wine clubs in Napa including Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel. We were pleasantly surprised how much we like the light and crisp pineapple wine. We ended up having a case shipped home to enjoy with friends around our pool this summer!
Hali’imaile General Store: BEST Place to stop for lunch while touring Upcountry!
Makai Glass Maui: Live Glass Blowing studio. Across from the Hali'imaile General Store. Please note that it is really interesting to see the process but you may feel pushed to purchase the art.
HOW TO GET AROUND?
I recommend private round-trip airport transfers booked through the concierge and then reserving a car rental for the days of your choice directly on resort property through the concierge.
MORE TO COME!
I’m SUPER EXCITED to jet off to Maui in April. This trip I will be exploring the Kapalua area including staying at Montage and Ritz Carlton. Upon my return, please feel free to contact me about my opinions and recommendations regarding this area and these resorts.
