Exploring the coast of California is one of my favorite itineraries to plan for clients and personally experience with my family. California is a year round destination with many options for a traveler who is seeking romance, adventure, wellness, family friendly activities, or relaxation.
WHERE TO STAY? I just returned from vacationing in Southern California exploring San Diego, Laguna Beach, Santa Barbara and LA. There are so many beautiful resorts to experience in California, therefore, for this article I am going to highlight a property I just experienced that truly is a GEM…Rancho Valenica.
Rancho Valencia is located nestled in a beautiful gated community in Rancho Santa Fe. The property consists of 49 newly renovated suites in addition to Three Bedroom Luxury Villas. The hacienda style suite gave me a feeling of having my own private Mediterranean style casita in beautiful Southern California. Sitting outside in front of the fireplace enjoying a bottle of wine with my husband while our children splashed in the hot tub in the early evening and watching hot air balloons sailing in the backdrop of the sky was a moment that brought me a sense of being mindful of all the blessings around me. Rancho Valencia truly has a sense of place…a place I did not want to leave!
Foodie Alert…A Member of Relais Chateaux makes this property one of the BEST Food & Beverage Experiences in Southern California. I thoroughly enjoyed the exceptional service and quality of farm sourced elements at Veladora with Mediterranean cuisine and The Pony Room with American cuisine.
“It’s the Little Things That Matter Most”
I enjoyed opening the door every morning to find fresh orange juice and the newspaper of my choice delivered without disturbing me. It was lovely to sit on the private patio of the suite and enjoy a peaceful morning before heading out for the day.
